Quint Education is an education recruitment agency supplying teaching assistants and classroom support staff across London — in early years, primary and specialist SEN settings, on daily supply, long-term cover and permanent contracts.
We are specialists rather than generalists. Our work sits in childcare and education settings for children in the early years, primary and SEND phases, which is why settings in those phases tend to get a better shortlist from us than from an agency covering everything from nursery to sixth form.
Need classroom support staff?
Daily supply, long-term cover and permanent recruitment. For urgent cover we work to a 15-minute callback, and every candidate is compliance-checked before they reach you.

Three ways we recruit
Temporary cover
Absence is rarely planned. We keep a pool of staff available on call for day-to-day cover and work to a 15-minute callback, so you find out quickly whether a role can be filled instead of waiting.
Long-term placements
For maternity cover, extended absence, or while you recruit into a vacancy. Long-term supply contracts frequently run across a full academic year.
Permanent recruitment
Once your role is registered with us we advertise it on major job boards and our own site, actively search for CVs, and send you only candidates who have already been screened. You see a shortlist, not a pile.
Compliance, handled before the candidate arrives
All our staff are DBS checked. We also obtain employment references, together with student or voluntary references covering at least the three years prior to placement.
For settings, that means you receive written confirmation of the checks for your single central record rather than having to chase it. Our guide to DBS checks for schools and nurseries sets out exactly what a setting must obtain from an agency, and why an enhanced check without a barred list check is not equivalent.
Online timesheets
Timesheet approval runs through our online client portal rather than on paper. You receive your own login when you first request staff, and approvals take moments.
For candidates: what we will ask you
We will want your qualifications, your experience with children in any form, and your right to work. We will also talk to you honestly about which settings suit you — a mainstream primary, a day nursery and a specialist SEN school are genuinely different jobs, and the most common cause of an unhappy placement is someone being sent to the wrong one.
If you are early in your career, these may help:
- Teaching assistant jobs in London
- Teaching assistant pay explained
- Education recruitment in Essex
- What qualifications do you need to be a teaching assistant? — including why you may not need one at all
- Nursery practitioner interview questions
- Level 3 early years pay and progression
- Safeguarding questions and answers

Frequently asked questions
Does Quint Education supply teaching assistants in London?
Yes. We supply teaching and classroom support staff across London in early years, primary and specialist SEN settings, on daily supply, long-term cover and permanent contracts.
Which phases do you cover?
Early years and EYFS, primary including Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and specialist SEN provision. Our SEND and short-break services support children and young people aged 5 to 19. We also supply wraparound staff for breakfast and after-school clubs, and catering and support roles in nurseries.
How quickly can you supply a teaching assistant?
For urgent and day-to-day cover we keep a pool of staff available on call and work to a 15-minute callback, so you know quickly whether the role can be filled rather than waiting without an answer.
What checks do your teaching assistants have?
All our staff are DBS checked. We also obtain employment references together with student or voluntary references covering at least the three years prior to placement, and settings receive written confirmation of those checks for their single central record.
Do I need a qualification to register as a teaching assistant?
Not necessarily. There is no statutory qualification requirement for teaching assistants in England, and many settings recruit on experience and aptitude. An enhanced DBS check is the genuine requirement. Our guide to teaching assistant qualifications explains what schools actually ask for.
Can you supply permanent staff as well as supply cover?
Yes. We cover temporary cover, long-term placements and permanent recruitment. For permanent roles we advertise on major job boards and our own site, search actively for CVs, and send you only pre-screened candidates.
How do timesheets work?
Through our online client portal rather than on paper. You receive a unique login when you first request staff from us, and you approve timesheets online.
Do you supply SEN teaching assistants?
Yes, including into specialist SEN schools. Those roles typically ask for one to two years of SEN experience in a school setting supporting complex needs, with physical intervention training such as Team Teach or PRICE frequently desirable.
