We are currently recruiting reliable, qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioners to join our bank staff covering key assignments in Clavering (Saffron Walden).
The Role
This is a flexible Bank Staff position working convenient daytime hours (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM) during school term times. You will be working with children aged 2–5 years, supporting local preschool settings by providing high-quality care, routine support, and engaging learning opportunities through play.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high standards of care and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Supporting permanent preschool staff with daily routines, learning activities, and child supervision.
- Promoting child welfare and maintaining strict adherence to safeguarding guidelines.
- Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Communicating effectively with preschool management and fellow team members.
Requirements
- Qualification: Full and relevant NVQ Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years / NNEB (or above).
- Experience: Proven experience working in an Early Years setting (preschool, nursery, or reception).
- Safeguarding & First Aid: Knowledge of safeguarding procedures; a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate is highly desirable.
- DBS: An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one through Quint Education).
- Transport: Ability to reliably commute to Clavering, Saffron Walden.
- Reliability: Punctual, flexible, adaptable, and passionate about early childhood education.
