An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Nursery Room Leader to head our Under 2s Room at an outstanding day nursery setting in Crouch End, North London. Leading a talented team of early years practitioners, this role allows a skilled Nursery Room Leader to oversee daily operations, foster early development, and ensure our youngest children receive exceptional care in a safe, nurturing environment.

Located in North London, this premium early years setting is dedicated to providing outstanding childcare and education. Inspired by the protective rainforest, the nursery provides a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children aged 0–5 can thrive, explore, and grow.
Fully renovated in 2025, the state-of-the-art facility features thoughtfully designed age-appropriate rooms alongside specialist spaces, including a dedicated dining and home economics area for cooking programs, as well as a community space for extra-curricular activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, motivate, and mentor room staff to deliver high-quality early education and maintain exemplary standards across the room.
- Curriculum & Room Management: Oversee the planning and implementation of creative, age-appropriate activities for babies and toddlers under 2, ensuring alignment with the EYFS framework.
- Development & Record Keeping: Ensure accurate developmental tracking and learning journeys for all children in the room, hosting regular parent feedback sessions.
- Safeguarding & Welfare: Supervise daily room routines, maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and safeguarding compliance.
- Parent Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for parents, fostering strong, trusting relationships and effective communication.
Person Specification & Qualifications
- Qualifications: Full Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years / Childcare (Degree or EYT desirable).
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience working as a Nursery Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or experienced room educator in an Under 2s / Baby Room environment.
- EYFS Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework, child development milestones for under-2s, and safeguarding practices.
- Certifications: Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete prior to start date).
- Skills & Attributes: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a passionate approach to early childhood education.
