Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Location: Bromley, Greater London

Salary: £14.35 – £15.20 per hour

Position: Full-Time – 40 hours (will consider 4 full days)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team in creating a warm, inspiring “home from home” environment for young children. In this role, you will work collaboratively to support children’s early development through playful learning, awe, and wonder. This nursery is part of an award-winning chain of over 60 settings, operating as a leading early years childcare provider across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Childcare & Learning: Provide a safe, clean, and stimulating environment. Implement engaging activities that encourage learning through play.
• Key Person Duties: Build strong relationships with key children, monitor their progress, and record achievements and interests through observations.
• Communication: Interact warmly and professionally with parents, carers, and colleagues through face-to-face updates, reports, and app communications.
• Room Support: Assist the Room Leader in maintaining top-tier Early Years care and education standards.
• Safeguarding & Compliance: Maintain regulatory guidelines, uphold company policies, and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children.
• Team Participation: Attend staff meetings, training sessions, parent events, and occasional evening or weekend promotional activities.

Requirements as a nursery practitioner

• Qualification: A full and relevant Early Years Childcare Qualification.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organisation: Strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and good time management.
• Customer Care: Dedication to providing outstanding service to families and children.
