We are currently recruiting for nursery practitioners, Level 2 qualified, for a nursery based in Cobham area of Surrey.

Salary:  £24,700 - £26,500 per annum 

Contract: Full time (36-40 hours a week)

Your duties as a Nursery Practitioner:

• Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of activities that support young children's learning, development and health ensuring consistency of high quality provision.

• Stimulating learning environment that encourages children to learn and develop through play.

• Have an extensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policy and procedure and to report to the Nursery Manager any concerns about children.

• Ensure that work is carried out in line with all relevant statutory children's legislation and comply with Ofsted standards and registration.

Applicant requirements:

• A minimum of 1-2 years UK experience

• NVQ Level 3 in childcare or early years (or equivalent)

• Eligible to work in the UK

  • Prior experience in working in a baby room in a nursery.
  • In addition to this the successful nursery practitioner must have a minimum of level 3 NVQ in childcare and be a reliable and punctual individual.
  • DBS or willing to complete a DBS check before they begin employment

But most importantly the successful nursery practitioner must have a passion for working with children and contributing to their Early years development.

The setting is a warm, friendly setting and the managers like staff to feel like they are at a "home from home" when they go to work. They are offering a welcome bonus after the candidate's successful probation, staff lunches and lots of progression opportunities. The setting is open most of the year, but closes for 3 weeks in the summer, a week at Christmas and during any Jewish Holidays, so lots of well - deserved breaks.

Temporary Vacancy: Early Years Assistant

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Early Years Assistants to join our team in the EN postcode area. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a variety of childcare settings while working with a supportive team of teachers.

About the Role

  • Temporary contract
  • Salary: From £12 to £16 per hour
  • Paid weekly
  • Flexible working hours: Monday to Friday (shifts between 8am and 6pm)
  • Locations: Bush Hill Park, Enfield, East Barnet, New Barnert, Hish Barnet, Potters Bar, South Mimms, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross Waltham Abbey Broxbourne, Hoddesdon

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers with delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Prepare snacks and assist with play supervision
  • Assist with reading time
  • Assist with keeping activity areas prepared and clean

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of childcare experience
  • Preferably qualified in childcare at Level 2, Level 3, or above
  • Subject to DBS and reference checks

Times: After School Club from 3:00pm – 6:00pm, 15 hours a week (Term-time)

Salary: up to £14.14 p/h

We are now recruiting for After School Club Playwork Childcare Manager in the Kingsbury area and that person could be you!

As After School Club Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and management of an after school club. Managing and directing a small team, you will ensure the safe and organised running of the club, fully supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operations Team at Head Office.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the day to day management of the After School Club
  • Print off daily registers & manage safe and secure 'sign in & sign out' process each day, communicating effectively with school staff & parents at all times
  • Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary)
  • Purchase healthy snacks for the After School Club
  • Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Safeguarding Officer in a timely fashion
  • Carry out daily risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork
  • Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary

Skills & Experience

  • You ideally have experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting
  • A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential
  • Would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant
  • Be reliable and passionate over everything else
  • Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years
  • Full training provided
