Role: Nursery Cook

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours: 8am to 2pm (Mon to Fri – 30 Hours a week)

Role Summary
Our client is currently looking for a nursery chef to work with the team to ensure balanced organic and healthy meals for the children and to maintain good kitchen and hygiene standards. 

Job Details: 
To prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals daily for the children
To monitor and review menus, suggesting changes as necessary
To ensure all children’s dietary requirements are catered for in line with parental and medical guidance
To supervise lunchtimes, encouraging children to try a variety of foods
To ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and tidy
To ensure all food and hygiene regulations are adhered to
To order catering supplies and cleaning materials as and when required necessary for the fulfilment of the role, ensuring use is monitored to reduce any unnecessary costs
To purchase general items as and when required by the nursery
To maintain and record appropriate records, including stock records and adhering to budgetary requirements
To ensure all kitchen equipment is sterilised
To be familiar with and adhere to the nursery’s policies and procedures at all times
To be responsible for Health and Safety
To communicate with parents, staff and visitors in a friendly and effective manner

Your duties as a Nursery Practitioner:

Your duties as a Nursery Practitioner:

• Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of activities that support young children's learning, development and health ensuring consistency of high-quality provision.

• Stimulating learning environment that encourages children to learn and develop through play.

• Have an extensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policy and procedure and to report to the Nursery Manager any concerns about children.

• Ensure that work is carried out in line with all relevant statutory children's legislation and comply with Ofsted standards and registration.

Applicant requirements:

• A minimum of 1-2 years UK experience

• NVQ Level 2/3 in childcare or early years (or equivalent)

• Eligible to work in the UK

• Full enhanced DBS

• Up to date CV

• Travelling distance to post code area

• Flexible to be on rota

• Dedicated and committed

Role: Room Leader (NVQ level 3 or above)

Salary: £ 32,000

Hours: 40 hours a week – (Full time)

Area: Docklands

Our client is seeking an experienced Level 3 qualified Room Leader for the baby room in the beautiful docklands area.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting Staff in the allocated rooms and ensuring adult/child ratios are met

Observing children and managing their learning and development records


To work with EYFS Curriculum and planning exciting age-appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors

Be a key person, complete observations and reports where required.

To build positive relationships parents and Ofsted

Working to nursery policy and procedures in relation to Safeguarding and Health & Safety

Attending staff meetings and training as required

To maintain confidentiality

Must be Level 3 qualified

Must have 2 references

Must be a strong team player and leader


Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification, or be training towards achieving this qualification
  • A current DBS
  • The right to work in the UK
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within an Early Years setting
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS

Nursery Practitioner – Level 3 in Childcare - Immediate Start (Monday - Friday)

Quint Education are currently working with a mainstream Nursery that is searching for a competent and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join their team immediately in Twickenham.

Start: ASAP

Hours: 40 hours per week

Duration: Permanent, full-time


As a Nursery Practitioner you will be working with young children aged 6 months to 5 years old.

 

Skills/ Requirements needed for a Nursery Practitioner - 

  • Experience working with children under the EYFS curriculum. 
  • Have a Level 3 Childcare - with placements completed 
  • Positive and caring nature
  • Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Working under the guidance of the class teacher/room leader. 
  • Personal Care/Nappy changing     
  • Able to commit to working Monday – Friday
  • Be Immediately available

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum
