Hours: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Term Time Only

Schedule: Flexible shift patterns available (e.g., Mon–Wed or Thu–Fri, provided days are consistent week-to-week) But full week is preferred (Mon-Fri)

Pay: Negotiable (dependent on experience and role)

About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic, high-energy After-School Club Leaders to join a team running out-of-school clubs across primary schools in Hemel Hempstead and Watford.

Your main role will be creating a safe, vibrant, and fun environment where primary-aged children can unwind, play, and engage in activities after the school day.

Key Locations & Vacancies

• (Hemel Hempstead – Priority): 2 Leaders All Week + 1 Extra Leader on Tuesdays

• (Watford): 1 Leaders All Week

Part-time shift splits are welcome (e.g., working Mon–Wed at one venue while another candidate covers Thu–Fri), as long as the weekly schedule remains consistent.

Key Responsibilities

• Fun & Engagement: Plan and run exciting, inclusive activities that keep children active and smiling.

• Childcare & Leadership: Act as a positive role model—engaging with children directly, encouraging participation, and resolving any minor issues with a friendly, supportive approach.

• Safeguarding & Safety: Ensure all health & safety, safeguarding, and company procedures are strictly followed at all times.

What is expected from activity Leaders:

• Positive, energetic approach: Bring warmth, high energy, and enthusiasm to every session.

• Active engagement: Interact with children directly during play and activities rather than supervising from afar.

• Balanced leadership: Be an approachable mentor and leader to the children, striking the right balance without feeling like a strict classroom teacher.

• Confident issue resolution: Proactively encourage children, handle any minor playground disputes, and keep the setting running smoothly.

Requirements

• Experience working with primary-aged children (preferred).
• High energy, reliability, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check (or hold an active update service DBS).

Class Teacher – Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Location: Edgware (HA8)

Pay: From £150 a day

Contract Type: Long-Term Supply (September – July 2027)

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to lead and support pupils at a specialist SEN School in Edgware (HA8). You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and adapting an engaging curriculum tailored to pupils with complex special educational needs, creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons designed for pupils with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
• Manage classroom staff, including SEN Teaching Assistants, to ensure effective, coordinated support across all learning activities.
• Utilize positive behavior management strategies to maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging environment.
• Implement adapted communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton, visual timetables) to support non-verbal and pre-verbal learners.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress, adapting learning plans to meet individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) targets.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1–2 Years of SEN Experience in a School Setting (Essential): Proven experience leading a classroom and supporting complex special educational needs (ASC, SLD, MLD).
• Behavior Management & De-escalation: Strong expertise in positive behavior management strategies and confidence handling challenging behaviors. Physical intervention training (e.g., Team Teach or PRICE) is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Familiarity with non-verbal communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, visual timetables).
• Compliance & Safeguarding:
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (child  + Adult workforce).
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding in Education training.

• 1–2 Years of SEN Experience in a School Setting (Essential): Proven experience working directly within a school environment supporting complex special educational needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Condition / ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, and Moderate Learning Difficulties / MLD).
• Behavior Management & De-escalation: Experience with positive behavior management strategies and confidence in handling challenging behaviors. Physical intervention training (e.g., Team Teach or PRICE) is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Familiarity with non-verbal communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, or visual timetables) is advantageous.
• Compliance & Safeguarding:
