We have an exciting opportunity for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils at a SEN School in Edgware (HA8)

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

To be considered for placements at this school, candidates must have:

• 1–2 Years of SEN Experience in a School Setting (Essential): Proven experience working directly within a school environment supporting complex special educational needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Condition / ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, and Moderate Learning Difficulties / MLD).
• Behavior Management & De-escalation: Experience with positive behavior management strategies and confidence in handling challenging behaviors. Physical intervention training (e.g., Team Teach or PRICE) is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Familiarity with non-verbal communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, or visual timetables) is advantageous.
• Compliance & Safeguarding:
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child + Adult workforce).
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding in Education training.

• Long Term Cover: From September until July 2027
