Joy, happiness, laughter! These, the world needs more indeed! If laughter is lacking in your life, perhaps you should consider becoming an early year’s educator, because these professionals seem to get more than their fair share of unexpected laughs from their work. At least that is the experience of Bridgette (as she likes to be called by all), who is a nursery agency bank staff at a  KT13 Weybridge nursery school.

She had just been recruited by Quint Education to fill a temporary position as a nursery teacher when the teacher in charge left on maternity leave some few weeks ago.

Bridgette had registered with Quint Education about a month ago and in just some few weeks later, they contacted her for this fantastic opportunity. She lives in the KT13 Weybridge area, therefore settling in wasn’t a problem at all.

So far, her experience has been wonderful as she caters for these amazing and interesting children. Bridgette recounts a funny encounter she had with Selma, one of her nursery children. Bridgette had come to school from a long weekend with a sudden burst of acne on her face. It was actually an allergic reaction to something she was still figuring out with her dermatologist.

Bridgette recalls how intently Selma approached her with these comforting words of wisdom: “It’s ok, I sometimes draw on my face, too, but be more careful next time.” Coming from a very well-intentioned place, Bridgette had to thank Selma for her kindness. Later on, she explained to her and the rest of the curious-faced children about what was really going on with her, though obviously they didn’t have a clue what she said.

Bridgette just had to ensure to ‘draw’ more carefully on her face next time, if she ever did again!

This was just one of many laughter-worthy moments Bridgette encounters daily at her KT13 nursery school and she has Quint Education to thank for, for these bonus happiness moments at her job.
