The Five R’s Nursery Educators Needs To Teach Early Years

Nursery educators have had to be creative with their teaching techniques to help break down a complex learning subject or program for students who are now discovering the world and do not have any learning foundation. Nursery educators use the Five R’s techniques to help with teaching.

Read

Read together every day with your child. Nursery educators build their students’ hearing and listening through constant reading to them. Children learn the proper pronunciation of words through reading and discover more vocabulary during a reading class. This is why Nursery Educators use reading as part of their teaching process for early years students.

Rhyme

Using rhymes is one of the fastest and more accessible ways children learn and repeat what they have learnt. Through the rhythmic nature of what they are studying, Nursery Educators can use sound and word repetition to teach children about complex words. Rhymes are also easy to recall—nursery Educators who use verses in class help students remember long text.

Routines

Nursery educators must develop Routines, particularly around meals, sleep, family fun and all other activities. Routines give children a sense of purpose and reduce the waste of time. When children know what to expect because of a daily routine, it prepares them mentally.

Reward

Nursery Educators must reward children with praise for successes to build self-esteem and promote positive behaviour. While simple rewards like thank you and good job may seem insignificant to a Nursery Educator, early years need these constant rewards or positive reinforcement to help shape behaviour. A child is like to repeat a good deed that earned them praise or compensation, which helps with behaviour modification for most children.

Relationship

Nursery Educators must build a solid nurturing relationship with their students. Children must feel safe and trust their nursery educators to create a safe, trustworthy environment for learning. A good relationship with a child helps with the healthy physical, socio-emotional and psychological Development of a child. They must build unique relationships with all their students to create a great learning environment.

These five R’s are vital teaching and parenting technique that Nursery Educator uses to help with a child’s cognitive and socio-emotional Development.
