Hours: Full Time shifts varying between 7.30am – 5.45pm

Room Leader for Children Centre

We are looking for a dedicated Room Leader for a children centre. This is a full-time permanent position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. This role is based in a children centre.

The successful candidate for the Room Leader position must have strong communication, a depth of knowledge of the EYFS, management and interpersonal skills. The individual must be highly motivated, have a positive attitude towards working with children and be ready to lead and manage our team

This Children’s Centre & Nursery was established to provide childcare and educational opportunities for children from local families. It offers family services for young children and their families, including quality childcare integrated with early learning that is in harmony with each child and their family needs. This children centre is part of a Primary School and a wider cluster of Children’s Centres located nearby where families have access to a range of services and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Support, lead, and inspire the team in your room
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities
  • Provide high standards of care to all children
  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager to manage and organize the room
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children attending the nursery
  • Provide rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to each child’s age and stage of development
  • Plan appropriately for children using the EYFS framework
  • Maintain accurate and effective children’s records
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers
  • Follow and understand safeguarding procedures

  • Ability to bring new ideas and embrace change
  • Level 2/3+ qualification in Childcare
  • Self-awareness and a commitment to improving your own skills
  • Willingness to help others without being asked
  • Clear DBS check and two satisfactory references
