Hackney (E8) Priority Breakfast & Afterschool Club Manager (Term Time Only)

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Club Manager to lead our vibrant Breakfast and Afterschool Club in Hackney (E8). As the Club Manager, you will be responsible for the overall smooth running of the club, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all children.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Operations:
  • Manage the daily operations of the Breakfast Club (7:30am-9:00am) and Afterschool Club (3:00pm-6:00pm).
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and play programs that cater to the different ages and interests of the children.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all children by adhering to all safeguarding regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Manage a small team of staff (if applicable).
  • Leadership & Communication:
  • Provide clear and effective leadership to staff members.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including parents, staff, and management.
  • Planning & Development:
  • Dedicate 1.5 hours per week for planning activities, ordering snacks, and other administrative tasks.
  • Continuously develop and improve the club’s programs and services.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant childcare regulations and best practices.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum level 3 qualification in childcare or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience working with children in a childcare setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for creating a fun and stimulating learning environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience managing a team of staff.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Experience planning and delivering creative activities for children.
