Early Years Practitioner – Wandsworth

Reports to: Nursery Manager
Hours: 4 days a week – 40 hours
Summary:
The Early Years Practitioner is responsible for the day-to-day care and education of children in an early years setting. This includes planning and implementing activities, assessing children’s progress, and communicating with parents and carers. The Early Years Practitioner must be passionate about early years education and have a commitment to providing children with the best possible start in life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement daily activities that are aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Assess children’s progress and development and record their findings
- Communicate with parents and carers about their child’s progress
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for children
- Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care and education
- Attend training and development opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- Level 3 CACHE or NVQ in Childcare or equivalent
- Experience of working with children in an early years setting
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and education
Salary and Benefits:
- £25,000 to £29,000 per annum
