Nursery Chef – Leytonstone
Salary: Negotiable
Hours: (Mon to Fri)
Role Summary:
Our client is currently looking for a nursery chef to work with the team to ensure balanced organic and healthy meals for the children and to maintain good kitchen and hygiene standards.
Job Details:
To prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals daily for the children
To monitor and review menus, suggesting changes as necessary
To ensure all children’s dietary requirements are catered for in line with parental and medical guidance
To supervise lunchtimes, encouraging children to try a variety of foods
To ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and tidy
To ensure all food and hygiene regulations are adhered to
To order catering supplies and cleaning materials as and when required necessary for the fulfillment of the role, ensuring use is monitored to reduce any unnecessary costs
To purchase general items as and when required by the nursery
To maintain and record appropriate records, including stock records and adhering to budgetary requirements
To ensure all kitchen equipment is sterilized
To be familiar with and adhere to the nursery’s policies and procedures at all times
To be responsible for Health and Safety
To communicate with parents, staff and visitors in a friendly and effective manner
Requirements:
Must have Level 2/3 Food Hygiene
1 Years minimum experience
Ability to manage a kitchen & support staff
Excellent Communication
