Location – Canada Water

Hours – Part Time (Tuesday – Thursday 7:30am – 13:00pm)

Pay –  £22,000-£25,000 Pro Rota

In this role you would:

You will be working alongside our Qualified Practitioner in our Preschool Room, the role will be for 16.5 hours per week (Tuesday -Thursday 7.30am-13.00pm) . You will have experience working with SEN Children, we are looking for candidates who have worked as a Teaching Assistant/Qualified Teacher, your role will be to ensure that those with special needs within our school are constantly supervised, nurtured and supported with the best practice SEN provision you can master.   You will be responsible for the delivery of:

  • Manage a group of 8 SEN children and SEN practice within the room
  • Ensuring that all safeguarding and welfare is met under the EYFS and Safeguarding Children in Education / Working together to Safeguard Children
  • All operational policies and procedures / routines are delivered in line with guidance
  • Always Delivering on our environmental and sustainability policy

What you’ll need:

  • Relevant childcare qualification to level 3 or above.
  • Up to date DBS
  • Pediatric first aid
  • Safeguarding training
  • Food Hygiene
  • SEND
  • Fire Safety
  • A positive approach to gaining further qualifications and training and at least 2 years working in senior capacities in baby rooms.

Experience Needed:

2 years experience as working in Early Years

Experience working with  SEN Children

Good knowledge of Ofsted requirements for the provision of safe care to children aged 6 months to 5 years.

Knowledge of health & safety requirements for the environment in which children aged 6 months to 5 years are cared for

Experience of working in small team, supporting colleagues with peer on peer observations.

A commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare.

Being able to deliver a tough message in a fair way

Supporting nursery marketing events experience
